Prime Minister Narendra Modi will inaugurate the Digital India Week 2022 in Gandhinagar, Gujarat.

Modi will introduce a number of digital initiatives during the programme with the goal of increasing technology accessibility, improving service delivery to promote ease of living, and supporting businesses. Catalyzing New India’s Techade is Digital India Week’s theme.

The Prime Minister will also launch “Digital India Bhashini” during the event, which will make it simple to use the internet and digital services in Indian languages, including voice-based access, and support the development of content in those languages. In order to find, assist, grow, and create successful companies in Tier-II and Tier-III cities in India, Mr Modi will also introduce “Digital India GENESIS,” a National Deep-tech Startup Platform. A total investment of 750 crore rupees has been planned for the initiative.

Additionally, it will be of great assistance to other nations looking for similar technological solutions.

The Prime Minister will dedicate “MyScheme,” a service discovery platform that makes it easier for people to access government programmes, to the people. It seeks to provide a one-stop search and discovery site where users can locate programmes for which they qualify. Additionally, he will dedicate to the populace “Meri Pehchaan,” the National Single Sign On for One Citizen Login.

With National Single Sign-On, a user authentication service, one set of credentials can give access to various web apps or services.

Mr Modi will also announce the first 30 universities to benefit from the Chips to Startup Program. The C2S Program aims to train specialised labour in semiconductor chip design at the bachelor’s, master’s, and doctoral levels.
