Weeks after the BJP’s Yuva Morcha (youth wing) launched the website Modi Story, which recounts Prime Minister (PM) Narendra Modi’s journey through testimonials from Union ministers, and party members, and the general public, contributors continue to talk about the PM’s lesser-known characteristics.

The website includes various amusing incidents, such as the time the PM gave his savings of around 40 lakh to the staff of his Gujarat chief ministerial office, or the time he surprised his cabinet member Pralhad Patel by entertaining a party worker at the Prime Minister’s residence.

The idea came as the PM neared the end of his eight-year term in office.

Despite the fact that numerous ministerial stories have been uploaded, the majority of the stories have been submitted by the public, according to one of the initiative’s organisers, who spoke on the condition of anonymity.

Smriti Irani’s story begins in 2011 when she was elected to the Rajya Sabha for the first time. I heard a knock on my door about 15 minutes after returning to the circuit house. It was a member of his team, and he was carrying a stack of documents. When I asked what they were, he replied, “Congratulations!” “Now that you are the Member of Parliament for Gujarat, these are the problems you must highlight at the national level!”

When Irani talks about his harsh work ethic, Patel recalls anecdotes about the PM’s softer side.

According to Patel, a BJP worker once sought to meet the PM after travelling over 1,100 kilometres to reach Delhi.

Former finance secretary Hasmukh Adhia, Olympic gold medalist Neeraj Chopra, spiritual leader Swami Avdheshanand Giri, AIIMS, Delhi, director Dr Randeep Guleria, and former Ayushman Bharat CEO Indu Bhushan are among the other contributions, according to Rajya Sabha MP Narhari Amin.

Sumitra Gandhi Kulkarni, Mahatma Gandhi’s granddaughter, launched the website. “Gandhiji told us that we should be the change we want to see in Bharat.” During the event on March 26, Kulkarni stated, “Modi is that change.”
