National Tiger Conservation Authority has reported the loss of 26 tigers in Madhya Pradesh in the year 2021. The State Forest Minister, Vijay Shah said that the average death rate of tigers this year is less as compared to their birth rate in the last six years. 

As per NTCA reports, there were no deaths recorded in the first 3 months of the year. NTCA reports also said that 21 dead tigers were reported inside the tiger reserves.

Karnataka has recorded the death of 8 tigers this year.
