The eight-time Olympic gold medallist and Jamaica’s legend Usain Bolt has become a father for the first time after welcoming the birth of a baby girl with partner Kasi Bennett, reports said Monday.
The Jamaican PM Andrew Holness appeared to confirm the birth of Bolt’s daughter in a twitter post.”Congratulations to our sprint legend Usain Bolt and Kasi Bennett on the arrival of their baby girl!”
Bolt, 33, had revealed he was expecting a daughter with Bennett on social media in March, jokingly warning any future suitors to steer clear of his daughter.”Any man! Any boy! Don’t play with me!” he said.
Bolt, the world record holder at 100m and 200m, retired from athletics in 2017 after a decade of dominance in men’s sprinting. At the 2016 Olympics, Bolt became the only man to win the 100m and 200m titles at three consecutive Olympics.
