Human Rights Watch (HRW), a US based rights group, said on Saturday that Saudi Arabian authorities have recently detained Prince Faisal bin Abdullah, son of late monarch King Abdullah and are holding him incommunicado.

While self-isolating due to the coronavirus pandemic at a family compound northeast of the capital Riyadh, the Prince was detained by security forces on March 27.

The kingdom has regularly denied allegations of unfair detention.
Deputy Middle East director at HRW, Michael Page, said, “Now we have to add Prince Faisal to the hundreds detained in Saudi Arabia without a clear legal basis.”
